Bonjour de l'Australie
Mar 1 Juil 2014 - 8:55
Hello my new friends
My name is Rick and my home town is Melbourne, Australia. I have been DE shaving now for 2 years and it has been fantastic. I studied French in High School for 1 year but I'm afraid my memory is not the best now.
My modest shave den contains a small collection of vintage Gillette razors, a Merkur 34C (the other daily love of my life), Muhle R41, Semogue, Shavemac and Simpson brushes, a collection of blades (enjoy Personna Med Prep's, Polsilver and Astra SP's), a Thiers Issard straight that I am too frightened of to use, enough creams and soaps to last me 2 lifetimes and other accoutrements that make the morning shave a joy.
The internet allows me to make friends with shavers from all over the world and I enjoy searching for shaving equipment and soaps from Europe and the U.S.
When I am not shaving I enjoy camping with my family, photography and drinking coffee with friends.
Thank you for having me
Rick

Coffee? What do you call a coffee? Starbucks?
I recently had some australian coffee, the only problem with it was the price tag (the travel is pretty expensive)
Welcome in this group !
Are there any specific australian product that are of interest in the shaving world?

Merci everyone for your magnifique welcome. It's so good to be amongst the cool people I visited France once - you guys are so charming and sophisticated.
@Mach 1 - Starbucks tastes like merde . Only for the tourists. Melbourne folk enjoy coffee with their friends in small cafes where coffee is made with the heart. I love single-origin beans from South America.
Australia is not a big industry for shaving products. We have many but small artesian shaving soap makers. I recommend Occams and Otoko Organics. Australian made Palmolive Classic shave stick but the European version is much superior.
Thank you for your kind welcome and friendship.
Rick.
